Good to know

Is the HP 130A 5 Pack Black genuine?
Yes. The HP 130A 5 Pack Black is a genuine HP product and arrives new in its original packaging.

Is the 1,300 page yield per cartridge?
Yes. Each cartridge is rated at about 1,300 pages, so five give roughly 6,500 pages in total.

Where can I recycle empty 130A cartridges?
Send them back through HP Planet Partners, HP’s return and recycling program for LaserJet supplies.

How to install the HP 130A 5 Pack Black

Open the front or top cover and let the printer cool for a few minutes if it has just been printing.
Remove the used cartridge. On printers with a separate drum unit, take out the drum and toner together, then push the lock lever and lift the toner cartridge out of the drum.
Unpack the new cartridge and gently rock it side to side five or six times to spread the toner evenly. Remove any protective strip or cover.
Slide the cartridge into place (or into the drum unit until it clicks), refit the assembly and close the cover.

Storage and handling

Leave the new cartridge in its sealed pack until you are ready to fit it, and keep it out of the sun and away from heat sources. Hold it by the handle so you do not touch the roller. Stored this way, an unopened HP 130A 5 Pack Black stays ready to use whenever you need it.

Getting the most from each cartridge

Keep a spare on hand if you print often, so a low toner message never stops work. Use the printer’s toner save setting for drafts, and recycle the empty cartridge through Cartridges 4 Planet Ark.
