This third-party rubber pad, also called a presser foot cushion, replaces the worn pad in Sumitomo FC-series fibre cleavers. It keeps pressure even across the fibre for consistent cleave angles and clean end faces. A fresh pad helps avoid poor splices and extends cleaver life.
